DirecTV Debuts Yaveo, Spanish-Language OTT Bundle, for $8/Month
While the online video industry was focused on the over-the-top (OTT) streaming bundles forthcoming from Sony and 菜, DirecTV 赶在他们之前发射. Yesterday, the satellite pay TV company announced Yaveo, a Spanish-language bundle of channels for $7.99 per month (with the first month free). Yaveo is only available in the United States, and subscribers don't need a DirecTV subscription or a contract to get it.
The bundle offers content from a variety of channels, including Nick en Español, TMN(电影网络), MTV, Univision, 和¡你好!TV. DirecTV says it is soft-launching the service. The channels beIN Sports en Español, Cine Sony Television, 和¡你好! TV will offer live programming, with more live content coming soon, DirecTV notes. It also promises thousands of hours of on-demand video.
Yaveo will be available on multiple of screens. Desktop and notebook computers 也 as Android devices can get the service first. Support for iOS devices, Xbox, and more is coming. 订阅rs can watch content on two devices at the same time. They can also pause a show on one device and resume at the correct place on another device.
DirecTV is also in the news today because it signed a TV Everywhere deal with Fox Networks that will give subscribers streaming access to several Fox channels.
